Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Descending on Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual ROK Cup USA ROK Vegas event, Fort Lauderdale based Team Benik will bring nine drivers to Sin City. Scattered across three classes, Benik branded drivers will hit the track on Wednesday with the goal to stand on the podium during Championship Sunday.
“ROK Vegas this year is one of the major events that we circled on the calendar as a win here provides that momentum that is needed for the following season,” explained Nick Mitchell. “We are entering the event after strong performances here in 2020 and have our hopes high. We are competing at a new track and a new venue, but we are ready.”
A quartet of Team Benik drivers will come from the Mini ROK category as multi-time 2021 champion Enzo Vidmontiene will be joined by Beckham Toupikov as well as the Guideras of Gabby and Guiseppe. Always a threat for race wins and podium results in the Mini ROK category, Team Benik is hoping that one of their four drivers can reign supreme in the biggest ROK Cup event ever in North America.
With four drivers in Mini ROK, three more will do battle in the ROK Micro division as Royce Vega, Troy Ferguson and Tristan Murphy will aim towards the top of the results sheets. Looking to take advantage of team knowledge and experience, all three drivers have temporary circuit experience and are looking forward to the wheel-to-wheel action.
A pair of Team Benik entrants will fly the blue and white colors in ROK Junior and Senior as Michael Costello will battle in the junior ranks as Frankie Mossman looks to the podium in ROK Senior. Veterans of the sport and both having strong finishes to their credit in 2021, the duo will look to finish their ROK Cup USA season on a high as they shift the focus to their 2022 campaigns.
Competing with Zanella Racing but under the Team Benik tent will be a pair of competitors. Leonardo Escorpioni will throw his hat into the mix in ROK Junior as Gavin Dakay will join the ROK Micro ranks.
Team Benik drivers will hit the track on Wednesday for the first day of official practice with qualifying taking place on Thursday afternoon. Friday will see the commencement of the heat races with main events taking to the track on Championship Sunday.
